Liverpool's summer of new signings continues to gather force on the rumour mill this week with Real Madrid midfielders Fernando Gago and Sergio Canales, Birmingham's Merseyside-born defender Scott Dann and Swedish starlet Alexander Milosevic all linked with Anfield moves.
Of course, familiar names such as Charlie Adam and Connor Wickham continue to be linked too and those rumours show no sign of slowing down...

Sunderland have quickly made use of their income from selling Liverpool Jordan Henderson by reportedly lodging an offer of around £12 million for Ipswich Town's starlet Connor Wickham.
Kenny Dalglish has said to have already offered around £5.5 million for the England Under 21 forward but has been told by the Suffolk club to double his money to land the talented youngster.
Some media outlets are reporting that Wickham has even rejected the Wearsiders in the hope that Liverpool do up their bid for him.

Another central midfield playmaker strongly linked with a move to the Reds is Real Madrid's Argentinian ball-player Fernando Gago.
Originally signed as part of a double-swoop along with Gonzalo Higuain, Gago made great strides initially in Spain but last season appeared just seven times in all competitions after the arrivals of Xabi Alonso and Sami Khedira in recent summers have pushed him further down the pecking order.
Gago is seen as a classy player who can still make the grade of playing for the top sides and the £12 million fee may not be seen as prohibitive for a player who has appeared around 30 times for the Argentine national side.

Liverpool's long-standing interest in Blackpool's captain, midfielder Charlie Adam, continues today with rumours that the Reds will have to stump up £10 million for the relegated north-west outfit to part with the Scot.
With Jordan Henderson having recently swelled Liverpool's ranks in the centre of the park it remains to be seen if another central midfielder remains a priority for Dalglish and Comolli - but the price appears to have been set if they decide Adam is a must-buy.

AIK Solna's promising young defender Alex Milosevic's agent has declared that Premiership sides have taken an interest in his client.
Milosevic is highly rated in his homeland and supposedly Tottenham and Sunderland are amongst the other clubs taking a keen interest in him.
Whether or not any move is forthcoming remains to be seen - but most young, half-decent players this summer around Europe stand at least a fighting chance of coming to England seemingly!

Liverpool face a battle with near neighbours Everton to capture highly rated youngster Sergio Canales from Real Madrid.
Canales was seen as the brightest young prospect in Spanish football last season but has spent much of 2010-11 either on the bench or out of the first team picture entirely for Real and could be ready to move on again to re-ignite his career.
