Will Alabama Drop After Beating Tennessee?

When the BCS polls are released, I will be surprised if Alabama is still ranked No.2. For several weeks, I have expressed my thoughts on this Bama team and I still stick by my words when I say they are overrated.

Tonight, Alabama beat a crumbling Tennessee team 29-9 in Tennessee, but the team ranked right under the Crimson Tide beat the No.9 ranked OSU team in Ohio. Alabama is 8-0 and Penn St is 9-0 and it will be close but at this point if the National Championship game was to be decided tomorrow it would have to be Texas vs Penn St.

Would I like to see a SEC team play for and win the National Championship three years in a row? Without a question, I would love to see this but in reality Penn St should be playing Texas. Is Alabama a good team? Of course they are but I do not think they are the best team in the country.

Honestly I do not think they are the best team in the SEC because Florida is playing with a chip on their shoulder and by the end of the season I might be convinced that a one loss Florida team should get the bid to play in the National Championship over an undefeated Penn St team.

In about 15 hours we will know who will be ranked right under Texas and if Alabama is still there then something is wrong with the BCS. I am not confident in the BCS already but if Penn St is not ahead of Bama, any confidence I had towards the system will be lost.
