This was one of the most memorable weekends in a long time.
The Dallas Mavericks were able to knock off the Miami Heat in South Beach in order to take home the crown and stake their claim as NBA champions, and the entire world has their eyes firmly fixated on LeBron James.
After James said that he was "taking his talents" to South Beach and joining forces with Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat, promising several championship seasons in a row, the forward had some interesting words in his post-game press conference following what has to be considered the most devastating loss in his professional career.
"Because at the end of the day, all the people that was rooting on me to fail, at the end of the day they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today. They have the same personal problems they had today. I’m going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want to do with me and my family and be happy with that. They can get a few days or a few months or whatever the case may be on being happy about not only myself, but the Miami Heat not accomplishing their goal, but they have to get back to the real world at some point."
It's really hard to blame James for saying the things that he did after dealing with a year of criticism, scrutiny and being in the public eye constantly, but it's clear that he could've done this in a much more productive fashion.
Despite all of the attention that the 2011 NBA Finals received, there were also a lot of people paying careful attention to the season six premiere of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which took no time to introduce Kris Humphries as Kim Kardashian's new arm candy.
Now that the offseason is officially here for the NBA, there will be plenty of time to focus on Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and the rest of the Kardashian family and how their personal lives play out.
