2011 College World Series: Dallas Baptist Magical Season Ends Against Cal Bears
Dallas Baptist 2011 College World Series Dreams End Against California
Cinderella Dallas Baptist's season came to a close against Cal this past weekend.
They went far into the postseason despite it being just their sixth year as a Division I baseball team. They are also not part of a conference. They were one of only two independent squads to make it to that far.
Their inexperience in DI play doesn't tell the story of their talented roster though.

Dallas Baptist outfielder Jason Crizan had a 39 game hitting streak going earlier in the season. The span stretched long enough to tie him for the 11th longest streak in D1 baseball history.
He's not alone though. The team showed solid pitching earlier in the tournament knocking off TCU and Oral Roberts.
It's a shame their season in which they fought against the odds has to end, but they'll definitely be back.
