BCS Screwjob Part II?
Don't look now but it's possible that Mizzou could win out, upset a potentially undefeated Texas team in the Big 12 Championship and STILL miss out on the BCS.

I saw this posted on Matter's blog and my stomach sank as I started to realize that this is actually a pretty real possibility. Basically what would have to happen is the Tigers, Longhorns and Sooners would all have to win out in the regular season. Mizzou would then need to upset Texas in KC but the BCS could still put OU in Texas at Nos. 1 and 2 in the BCS, which happened to OU when they lost to K-State in 2003 at Arrowhead. The Sooners and Longhorns would then go to the National Championship game and Mizzou would be relegated to a non-BCS bowl since a conference can only have three teams in BCS bowls.

I don't see it happening because I honestly think there will be other one-loss teams like USC that would slide in front of Texas but still, it's possible. Here's to getting that far to even worry about it.

Credit Austin American-Statesman reporter John Bridges for thinking up that wacky scenario.
