Dirk Nowitzki of The Dallas Mavericks Shrugs Off Latest Miami Heat Shenanigans
The storylines heading into Sunday's Game Six of the NBA Finals between the Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat are endless. One of the more humorous one's revolves around the antics of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade before Game Five.
As they were walking out of the tunnel with cameras tracking their every move, both super-stars began fake coughing and sneezing to mimic Dirk Nowitzki. He had a fever and temperature of 102 yet still beat the Heat just two days earlier.
When asked about the video, Dirk shot the duo down big time:
I just thought it was a little childish, a little ignorant, I’ve been in this league for 13 years. I’ve never faked an injury or illness before.

Niiice.
No reason to add any fuel to the fire. Dirk took the high road and and once again made the Heat look a bit childish. According to Johnny Ludden of Yahoo! Sports, Dirk has already been through it all in his NBA career:
Nowitzki will dismiss this slight just like he’s dismissed all others that came before it. He’s heard far worse in his career, and this is the advantage he carries into Sunday’s Game 6, the same advantage he has carried all series. No one in these Finals has endured more failure to get to this point, no one has weathered as much criticism and no one can match his hunger.
That's the difference in the series.
Dirk wants a title more than the Heat do. He refuses to ever let his team die and his relentlessness in this series has been incredible—sick or not.
He knows this is the end of the line as far as winning a championship is concerned, where as the Heat are just getting started.
Sick or not, Dirk is the real king of this series and he is only 48 minutes away from cementing his legacy as one of the greatest of all-time.
