NBA Finals 2011 Schedule: Dallas Mavericks Well-Rested for Sunday's Game 6
Dallas Mavericks Should Be Rested and Ready For Heat in Game Six of NBA Finals
The Dallas Mavericks need to take care of business tomorrow in Game 6 of the 2011 NBA Finals. Their aging roster of savvy veterans knows how important this game is for their title aspirations.
Fortunately for the Mavericks, they were given an extended period of rest between Game 5 and 6 and this should bode well for a team full of older players. The recovery time will certainly benefit Nowitzki, who should be clear of his flu like symptoms for the tip off Sunday night.
Other key players such as Jason Kidd, Shawn Marion, and Jason Terry are also in their thrities and will benefit greatly from an extended period of time off the court recovering.
The Miami Heat need to play hard and hope to steal a victory at home against this feisty Mavericks team. This would set up a seventh game on short rest that would favor the younger Heat squad.
The Mavericks need to treat Game 6 as a do or die, as they are riding the momentum of a huge Game 5 win and are adequately healthy and rested. If they drop the ball and give up a victory to the Heat, they will be facing a very real chance of letting their title chance slip through their grasp.
