The 2011 NBA Draft is in just 12 days. Teams are beginning to narrow down their shortlists and big boards to a handful of players they feel will be available when it is their turn to pick in New Jersey.
The top-two picks should not change, regardless of who is drafting them, as Kyrie Irving and Derrick Williams are without a doubt the two best prospects in this very weak draft class.
After these two are selected the rest of the draft should get interesting and will certainly be unpredictable.
Jimmer Fredette, perhaps the most popular and well-known of all the prospects in the 2011 NBA Draft, is making noise by suggesting that he would like to prove himself versus Kemba Walker and Brandon Knight, two of the higher ranked point guard prospects this year. Will he get a chance to face off against them? We’ll have more after the break.
The Timberwolves are still waffling with their No. 2 pick, and will most likely look to trade the selection to get more value for their squad from it. Where will this pick end up and what team will Derrick Williams be playing for? We’ll try to figure it out inside.
The Cavaliers are still looking to get a deal in place to have the top two selections in the 2011 NBA Draft, but news has been quiet on both fronts and the trade may have fallen apart based on the lack of a quality third party that they need to get it done.
What other teams are looking to get involved in the lottery? Which players are rising and falling this close to draft time? Stay tuned right here for more throughout the day.
