We are now less than two weeks away from the 2011 NBA draft. May as well keep mocking it while we still can.
At this point, it seems all but certain that Duke point guard Kyrie Irving is going to go No. 1 overall to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Provided they don't trade the No. 2 pick, that means that the Minnesota Timberwolves are in line to take Arizona forward Derrick Williams.
After that, it's crapshoot. The talent level in this year's draft is far from elite, and that has led to an awful lot of uncertainty as far as who might go where. The question of whether or not it's a better idea to draft for need or for talent has never been harder to answer.
But what the heck. Let's give it a shot.
The name of the game with this humble little setup is to round up all the latest and greatest NBA Draft news, notes, and rumors. Once we have them, we'll try to make sense of what's going on and then put the big picture in order.
So if you're up for talking a little basketball, all you have to do is keep it here and wait for updates.
