The 2011 US Open is set to begin on June 16 and continue through the weekend.

This year's field is considered to be wide open, and with Tiger Woods sitting the Open out, there is not going to be a clear-cut fan favorite.

A new set of golfers has emerged and players like Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson are no longer the dynamic duo that they once were in their primes.

Since the conclusion of the 2010 US Open, four players have become the No. 1 player in the world.

Each of the previous 10 majors has had a different winner—will a player like Charl Schwartzel bring his Masters luck to the United States?

With such a wide-open field, this could be one of the most interesting Opens in recent memory. The Open presents an extremely challenging test for these golfers with narrow fairways and extremely difficult greens.

Bleacher Report will be here all week for continuous coverage of the US Open on Bleacher Report's golf page.
