Jericho Vs. Batista: A Stone Cold Match

As Cyber Sunday quickly approaches this weekend it should come as no surprise who the guest referee will be.  WWE fans once a year get to decide the fate of this Pay-per-views matches, and it is with no doubt what the polls will show for this match. Choosing between Randy Orton, The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels, and Stone Cold Steve Austin, fans will undoubtedly vote Austin.

Austin is the obvious choice for a few reasons.  First, he's Stone Cold and there doesn't have to be a reason.

Second, Orton is due to return to the ring next month and it would be boring and way to unoriginal for WWE to just throw him back into the championship.  I think there will be a new story line coming up for Orton before he gets a shot at the title.

Third, been there, done that with the HBK/Jericho feud.  HBK is better than that and I think fans are ready for a new angle with him.

Lastly, there is lots of talk and speculation of a "One last match" for Austin at the upcoming Wrestlemania XXV.  If that holds any truth we should be seeing a lot of build up for Wrestlemania XXV and Stone Cold (Not that he needs any).

Enough about the referee, let's talk about the match.  Dave Batista is clearly the best. With that being said, Chris Jericho has been with the best and has beaten the best, more than one once. Jericho's turn to heel seems to be something he is enjoying and succeeding at.  Add that belt to his shoulder and you have a true villain that you cannot help but love to hate.

Dave Batista is the guy that no matter what he does, people seem to love him.  Even with the HBK feud, his good guy persona never crumbled.

Expect this to be a pretty long match with Jericho being on top majority of the time. With an Austin appearance don't expect it to be short.  Jericho will be VERY cocky especially with Austin since he continually mentions how he beat him and The Rock for the titles years ago.  Look for Batista to hold that belt at the end.  It's Batista's time to hold the title for a bit and this would be a great angle to start a Jericho/Austin story line for the final match at Wrestlemania.

So there you have it.  My predictions for this Sunday on the World Heavyweight Championship match.  Thanks for reading and see you next month for thoughts on Survivor Series!
