Unless you're a Miami Heat or Dallas Mavericks fan, your NBA team's season is by now over. By now, you're looking forward to the 2011-2012 season (assuming there is one).
And while the NBA Draft does offer each franchise a chance to improve, this year's class isn't exactly the best one in recent memory. More to the point, there are few players who can make an immediate impact.
So teams hoping for a quick turnaround, or to improve from average team to a good team or from a good team to a contender, will look to trades and free agency during the off-season.
The free agent crop this summer isn't quite as special as it was last year, but when you throw in some of the big names on the trade blocks, there is a lot of star power out there.
