St. Louis Cardinals Eying Shortstop?

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Cardinals are pursuing a shortstop and have set their sights on Rafael Furcal or Khalil Greene. The Cardinals have the money to spend, so they could look to offer Furcal a solid base salary, with good incentives if he can stay healthy.
The Cardinals would like to pursue a power bat for their lineup and might pursue Matt Holliday or Garrett Atkins if they become available. 
If the Cardinals are determined to make a trade, they could pursue second baseman Brian Roberts of the Orioles. They do not have unbelievable prospects, but a good package would get a deal done.
