The first round of the 2011 MLB amateur draft is over, and the first 60 picks are off the board.

Monday night's events provided plenty of excitement and optimism, as well as a fair amount of head-scratching. But we can't just be content to dwell on Round 1.

Let's get up off the mat, people: It's time for Round 2. And Round 3. And Rounds 5 and 10 and 30.

As day two of the draft gets under way, we'll see all 30 MLB teams pick almost 1,000 high school and college players who they see as parts of their respective futures.

There's no telling how well any of these picks will work out—just ask Matt Bush and Brien Taylor—but that won't stop teams, scouts and fans from dreaming.

Stay tuned throughout the afternoon as we analyze today's major draft developments!
