Anna Kournikova: After Turning 30 Years Old, What’s Next for Tennis Star?
Anna Kournikova Turns 30 Years Old But Tennis Career is Already Over
Today, Russian tennis player Anna Kournikova turns 30 years old, and the idea of her ever being a threat to win her first singles tournament is getting farther away every day.
While she has never won any singles titles through her career, she had gained national exposure for her looks and celebrity lifestyle.
People will concentrate on how she looks, but if you move past that and look at it from a sports point of view, Kournikova is one of the most overrated athletes that have ever lived.
Kournikova’s body of work doesn’t justify why she is a celebrity at all, and the fact that Kournikova has become one of the faces of women’s tennis is a testament of where the sport is at.
Watch out because Kournikova’s celebrity will only go up as she takes on the role of celebrity trainer on the hit TV show The Biggest Loser.
With all of this considered, Kournikova was never a great tennis player, and her opportunity to steal a win has come and gone.
