But today MLB Commissioner Bud Selig initiated the 2011 MLB Draft, reading off the names of a host of young, talented ball players who have the potential to redirect the realm of professional baseball.
The stock of pitchers like Gerrit Cole—who has a cannon for an arm—or powerful hitters like Bubba Starling—whose catchy name is by far the best since Coco Crisp—continues to grow as they make the leap to the bigs.
With the MLB Draft comes the excitement and wonder of who will become professional baseball's next heroes, villains, clutch hitters, deadly closers, and breakout players.
