Battle of the MMA Hotties: Miesha Tate vs Michelle Waterson
Welcome to the opening round of the Battle of the MMA Hotties!
For the next seven weeks, eight female fighters in the sport will be going toe-to-toe in a bracket style tournament to determine who is the hottest MMA fighter.
In the first quarterfinal match-up, we have Michelle "The Karate Hottie" Waterson (pictured), vs Miesha "Takedown" Tate.
So which one do you think is hotter? Take a look and cast your vote.
Miesha Tate is currently sporting an impressive MMA record of 11-2.
In her most recent outing, she won a one night, four woman tournament to become the No. 1 contender for the Strikeforce women's 135 lb title.
That night, she defeated Maiju Kujala and Hitomi Akano, both by decision.
The Karate Hottie
So far in her young mixed martial arts career, Michelle has gone 8-3.
In her most recent outing, Michelle was able to defeat Masako Yoshido via TKO in the first round at Crowbar MMA: Spring Brawl.
Before venturing in to the world of MMA, Miesha was a terror on the wrestling mat.
In high school, she won the 2005 high school women's championship. She also went on to win nationals at World Team Trials in the 158 lb division.
Needless to say, you don't want to mess with her on the mat.
Before she even began to thing about a career in MMA, Michelle started a career in modeling after she graduated high school 2004.
And we all thank her for that.
She began training in karate at the age of 10, and now holds a black belt in American Free Style Karate.
Miesha has been another mixed martial arts stars to make her way on to the big screen.
She recently finished filming a documentary titled Fight Life.
The movie is scheduled to be released this summer.
