Maple Leafs News: GM John Ferguson Jr. Fired

Zachary SchiffCorrespondent IJanuary 22, 2008

John Ferguson, Jr. has been fired by the Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment Board of Directors.

No word on if Cliff Fletcher has been hired, but it is almost certain he will be.

Good move for the Leafs.

Maybe the new GM will get a larger portion of control than JFJ had and can rebuild this team at the deadline so they can be competitive in two or three seasons.
