WWE News: 2010 WWE Hall of Famer Gorgeous George's Wife Passes Away

LewisAnalyst IIIJune 4, 2011

WWE Hall of Fame inductee Gorgeous George's first wife, Betty Wagner, also known as Betty George, has sadly passed away at the grand age of 98.

WWE.com broke the news that Betty died yesterday, June 3, in Gearhart, Oregon.

Betty, as you may know, received Gorgeous George's WWE Hall of Fame position at last year's induction night before WrestleMania.

A little known fact: The late, great "Macho Man" Randy Savage was a huge fan of Gorgeous George and incorporated many of George's elements into his own repertoire.

For those who don't know, I'm a big fan of Gorgeous George. Despite my young age of 16, I see how much he has influenced pro wrestling worldwide.

Betty George is survived by her four children: Carol Kelley, Rex, Donnie and Honi.

I'm sure you wish to pass your prayers on as well.
