WWE News: Update on Christian and His Future on Smackdown (**SPOILERS**)
WWE Smackdown: What Lies Ahead for Christian?
THE FOLLOWING POST CONTAINS **SPOILERS**. STOP READING IF YOU LIKE TO BE SURPRISED!
If you've read tonight's Smackdown spoilers, then you know that--at the very least--the seeds have been planted for a Christian heel turn.
Much like Chris Jericho did to Shawn Michaels in 2008 (which led to Jericho turning heel), Christian blasted Randy Orton in the skull with the World Heavyweight Championship following Orton's successful title defense against Sheamus.
Indeed, it appears that Christian is moving to the dark side.
Scratch that. If the advertisement for the July 16th WWE Supershow from the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is correct, then Christian will undoubtedly be turning heel.
According to the arena's site, the main event for the show will be John Cena, Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio taking on The Miz, R-Truth and Christian in a 6-Man Tag Team Match.
OK, if the Smackdown spoilers didn't already confirm it for you, then this should--Christian is now officially an antagonist.
While I don't think the WWE needs anymore heels at the moment, I'm a huge fan of heel Christian.
He's great in that role, and (what I expect to be) his continued feud with Orton should only get better now that he's turned.
