WIZARDS AWAKEN AND BEAT SPURS; NICK YOUNG'S COMEBACK LEADS TEAM TO VICTORY

Nicole WilliamsContributor IOctober 23, 2008

The Wizards couldn't be stopped last night! Yesterday they beat the Spurs in San Antonio with an ending score of 100 points to Spurs' 95 points. They definitely stepped it up for this game and led in all four quarters.

Great plays by Nick Young ( first game of pre-season), Caron Butler, Dee Brown and Antwan Jamison. Dee's one shot towards end of night put Wizards up by seven. JaVale McGee added three points for the team 6 minutes before half time, and Juan Dixon and Darius Songalia brought the team to a double digit lead in the third quarter.

On to Cleveland this Friday!
