As reported by TSN, with the Dallas Stars ownership issue likely not being settled until later in the summer, the Stars will not be making an offer for Brad Richards.

Richards will become a free agent on July 1 and will be playing for another team next year.

The Stars will be looking to trade Richards rights before July 1, 2011. Richards would have to waive his no-movement clause in order for them to do so.

In 72 games with the Dallas Stars last season, Richards recorded 28 goals and 49 assists for 77 points.

In 772 career games with the Stars and Tampa Bay Lightning, Richards has 220 goals and 716 points.
