Having played a stunning match against Turkish side Fenerbache in the Champions League where he scored a beautiful goal Abou Diaby is starting to show the traits of the stunning footballer he can be.

At 22  Abou Diaby has a huge future if can stay injury free which he has unfortunately failed for the last couple of season, Abou has tremendous strength, great vision, a good pass and a very powerful shot which can be used as a big threat towards other teams. But since being signed in 2006 from Auxerre as a 19 year old with a massive future. Abou has had some strong games and scored some brilliant goals but keeps getting injured when he is looking like a flashy central midfielder, he has the ability to really boost Arsenal in attack and defence and be a key part in Arsenal's midfield.

He has the skill to fill the role that Gilberto Silva and Patrick Viera left and could be pivotal with Cesc Fabregas who really needs a solid companion in the center with him, I do not see Abou as a winger which is why I always disagree when he is played there he is to good to be wasted on the wing. Abou is competing with Alexander Song and Denilson for the central role and I think the Frenchmen is the most talented out of them and the most likely to get the 3 points for Arsenal.

Arsenal lack consistency and fail to play for the full 90 minutes at times but I think with if Abou Diaby along side Cesc Fabregas can make the difference, Arsenal already have solid forwards and most of the time a solid defence but they have been lacking it in the midfield especially in matches this season.

This season has to be Abou's or I feel the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Fran Merida, Nacer Barasite and Mark Randall will over take him and he will be sold.
