Manchester United Transfer Rumours: Nothing Friendly in Fight for Samir Nasri

Manchester United have enjoyed a fruitful campaign during the summer transfer window, but rumours abound that Sir Alex Ferguson is not yet done shopping.
The Red Devils have been playing to their moniker this summer. They have pilfered some fine young talent and made it all their own.
They opened the wallet and acquired Phil Jones, Ashley Young and David de Gea for a combined fee of over £50 million.
The sizable amount has gone to strengthen and already stout side that brought home the Premier League title, and was only a couple goals off from the real prize, a Champions League title.
Now the purse strings are about to close to solidify the roster. Before they are shut completely, there is one player that Ferguson would love to have, Samir Nasri.
Arsenal is in the middle of a fire sale of sorts, and Nasri may be had seeing as he will be a free man a year from now anyway.
What complicates matters is Manchester United is in a bidding war with derby rival Manchester City. United is hoping that a £22 million bid will do the trick before their American tour.
With the ever growing spending spree that is City, one cannot be sure that a late proposal will do in Ferguson's chances of shoring up a replacement for Paul Scholes.
For now, the rich continue to fill their bountiful coffers with talent. It was an amazing find to nab Ashley Young for the squads attack.
The other boastful signing was in the form of keeper David de Gea. The young goalie shows star-like potential, and will surely have a chance to replace Edwin van der Sar when his days are done.
Adding depth in the form of Nasri would be brutal to the other top teams in the Premier League. While the season is nearly a couple months away, Manchester united have once again established themselves as the class of England.
