NBA Finals 2011 Live show big stakes for Mavericks in Game 2

Don’t be fooled by the notion that the Heat are vulnerable. They haven’t been vulnerable since the post season began. No one wanted to believe it until now.

The Mavericks will have a shot at winning Game 2, and it will mean more than just a 1-1 series tie. It’s like Rocky IV when Rocky, who had been getting beaten to a pulp, cuts Ivan Drago.

The Heat are like Ivan Drago and a win on their home court doesn’t beat them or assure them of a Finals victory, but it cuts them. It makes them aware that they can beat the Heat no matter how strong or indestructible they look.

With three games coming up in Dallas there is no doubt they would love to have a little momentum going into Dallas. Being down 0-2 against a team like the Heat spells doom and it’s likely there would be no Game 6 in Miami. But if they can beat the Heat they could be looking a completely different series.

This win isn’t just a plus for Dallas, it’s a must and failure here will hurt them more than they want to admit.
