2011 NBA Finals Game 2:

With a court jam packed with so many stars and valuable players it can become hard to determine who will make the greatest impact on game two of the 2011 NBA Finals.

The Miami Heat have their big three but also have a few very important role players that are invaluable to their team chemistry, and the Dallas Mavericks are a team filled with veteran poise and many solid contributors

The easy answer would be to go with LeBron James or Dwayne Wade being that the Heat look to be on fire right now and those two are the catalysts behind the burn.

But, I think that the difference maker will actually come from Dallas’ locker room in game two, and I don’t think many people are going to be surprised.

It is my opinion that if Dirk Nowitzki is truly on his game he is the best player in the 2011 NBA Finals.

He is bigger, stronger, and more skilled than half of Miami’s team, and if he can get over the injury to his left middle finger, which is his non-shooting hand by the way, I think he has the drive to get it done for his team.

Nowitzki feels “OK” about the injury according to a quote from Shandel Richardson’s article in the Los Angeles Times

"I don't think it's going to be necessarily bothering me on the shot," Nowitzki said before Wednesday's practice at AmericanAirlines Arena. "Obviously on the shot you only hold the ball with the left hand. It's not like you do anything crazy with it. It's going to be other stuff, dribbling, passing, catching, swiping down, stuff like that. I think it will be OK."

If Nowitzki really does think he can get through the pain and can perform all the non-shooting basketball acts with the same dominance that he usually can, I think he will be the difference maker in game two.
