Brock Lesnar vs. JDS, TUF 13 on Spike TV: Stripper Ramsey vs. Fightin’ Ferguson
As a human being, Tony Ferguson has some serious flaws to iron out, but as a striker?
That was as thorough a destruction as I’ve seen on The Ultimate Fighter in quite some time, especially considering that there’s not an ounce of quit in Chuck O’Neil. Cold Steel is one rugged hombre and he was supremely motivated for his grudge match with Ferguson so you know he wasn’t going down without some serious convincing.
Unfortunately, having one leg chopped out from underneath you will convince most mortals to wave the white flag.
And a lot earlier than it convinced Chuck O’Neil to do so.
I don’t think Tony’s assessment—that he wanted it a lot more than Chuck—is accurate at all; I think he’s just been granted some superior physical gifts. If anything, I’d guess that O’Neil wanted it more.
He just didn’t have the horses today (or back when the bout was filmed).
Kind of odd that the producers chose to end the season on the Brock Lesnar illness note, but I guess they had to mention it even though everyone who cares to do so has already heard the news.
Anyhoo, thanks for reading along this season and see you for the live finale on Saturday.
