Nittany Lions Land 19th Verbal Commitment with No. 2 Kicking Recruit

Houston St. Pius X Kicker Anthony Fera (No. 2 Kicker, Rivals.com, Scout.com) switched his verbal commitment from Michigan to the Nittany Lions today.

Fera informed Penn State recruiting coordinator Mike McQueary during his school lunch break, his father, Tony Fera, said according to Rivals.com.

"I just talked to Anthony; he just called McQueary and gave him the news," the elder Fera said. "He committed to Penn State and is pretty happy with his decision."

The 6'2", 230-pound kicker also had scholarship offers from Michigan and Kansas State. Fera was offered a grayshirt offer from Ohio State.

Fera is the 19th member of the Penn State class of 2009.
