Will the Wizards Recover from Preseason Slump?

Nicole WilliamsContributor IOctober 22, 2008

Tonight is the next to last preseason game for the Washington Wizards. Hopefully they can finish off these last two games with marked improvement from what we've seen in the previous preseason games thus far.

The guys have had really hard and intense practices since returning from Berlin and Barcelona as part of their NBA Europe Live Tour.

In order to do well tonight and into the season the five main goals that I think they need to focus on are:

1. Staying healthy

2. Staying consistent

3. Building a strong defense

4. Winning their division

5. Building upon the efforts put forth last year by Brendan Haywood, Andray Blatche, DeShawn Stevenson, and Nick Young.

Will the team achieve its goals?

I guess we'll have to wait and see. But I think they can as long as everyone works cohesively, stays focused, and really puts forth the effort and concentration required.
