Ohio State Football: Urban Meyer Would Be a Fool to Consider Ohio State
Ohio State Football won’t catch top college coach
Urban Meyer is already laying to rest rumors that he could be interested in the Ohio State job. Urban Meyer, who recently stepped down from the University of Florida so he could spend more time with his family, would have a tiny incentive to go there.
According to ESPN, the OSU job is one that he has highly coveted for years.
Edward Aschoff writes:
As far as family is concerned, it might not have much input this time around. Meyer said in a book in 2008 that OSU, Notre Dame and Michigan were the only coaching jobs that his wife had no power to veto.
However, Meyer is a calculating individual and it would be nearly impossible to imagine him taking the OSU job anytime in the future. With all the investigations going on right now Meyer knows he’d be walking into the fire and that’s the last thing that he wants to do.

Meyer wants to go to a winner and if Ohio State loses Bowl eligibility or has to limit the scholarships it gives out then there is zero incentive for Meyer to want to be at Ohio State.
I’m certain a guy who is as driven as Urban Meyer will jump at the chance to coach again someday, maybe even sooner than later, but Ohio State is tainted for the near future and Meyer will want no part of that mess.
