NBA Finals 2011: 3 Predictions for Game 2 Sure to Go Wrong
NBA Finals 2011 Reaches Terribly Cliched Critical Game Status
What's going to happen in Game Two of the NBA Finals? Who knows!
But here are some guesses.
#3: Perpetual TV closeups of Dirk Nowitzki's finger
If you tune in for the ABC coverage, you will become far more familiar with Dirk's finger than you're probably comfortable with. A superstar's torn tendon is no minor thing, but it is on his non-shooting hand and he doesn't think it will affect him. It may cause him to drop a pass or hesitate on blocking a shot, but hearing Mark Jackson, Jeff Van Gundy, and the ABC pregame crew speculate on the finger and it's status will be much more irritating.

#2: Chris Bosh Has A Big Night
If you're Rick Carlisle isn't there one thought above all else?: don't let LeBron James and Dwayne Wade beat you. That should prompt the Mavericks to focus all of their attention on the backcourt and challenge Chris Bosh, Joel Anthony, Udonis Haslem and whomever else up front to score.
Bosh may not be the equal of James and Wade (no matter what the media wants us to believe), but he can score and can draw contact: he's been to the line 10 or more times in three of the last four games. Late in the game, when the Mavs over pursue to James and Wade, look for Bosh to collect a handful of points, finishing with at least 25 and 10 boards.
#1: Jason Terry Delivers Dallas A Split
Dirk's finger won't keep him from shooting the basketball and attempting to get to the hoop occasionally. He'll still drop his trademark 25-30 points and get to the line enough to keep Dallas in the game. But his efforts alone won't be enough to even the series at one game a piece.
The man most capable of shouldering the rest of the load is his longtime teammate Jason Terry. Terry had a great stretch near the end of the first half of Game One, but completely disappeared after that. Look for him to get hot from beyond the arc and deliver some clutch shots that help put Miami away.
