Ohio State Buckeyes: Why Urban Meyer Won't Coach the Buckeyes Any Time Soon

Who Will Replace Jim Tressel As Head Coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes?
As soon as Jim Tressel resigned yesterday everyone began speculating who would replace the sweater vest. Ohio State is one of the most recognizable schools in the country, and when there is an opening for a head coach football coach is the most coveted job in the land.
So who will land this prestigious job? Right now Luke Fickell is the interim coach for the 2011 season, and if he does well he could in fact remain head coach of the Buckeyes. Ohio State could keep Fickell in place while the Buckeyes face their penalties.
However, I see Ohio State setting out for a big name coach to help ease the transition period. A guy like Jon Gruden or Urban Meyer could help bring in recruits despite the bowl ban and loss of scholarships the Buckeyes will soon be handed.

Meyer is the one name that seems to be mentioned the most to replace Tressel. Everyone seems to believe that just because Meyer was born in Ohio he will coach the Buckeyes.
Because the Buckeyes will be dealt severe sanctions I believe Meyer won't want to deal with all of that. Meyer can sit back this year and see what other jobs open up. He is the most sought after guy to have as new head coach.
Meyer could go anywhere he wants. Why would he chose a school that will have a limited number of scholarships and most likely won't be able to go to a bowl game for a number of years?
Meyer will enjoy his time at ESPN for a year a two and then possibly get back into coaching.
