Avril Lavigne: Singer Lavigne Gets Under Rays Fans' Skin During Concert
Avril Lavigne Shows Off Her Punk-Rock Self at Rays' Summer Concert
It shouldn't have been very "complicated" for Canadian pop punk rocker Avril Lavigne to show up at a Tampa Bay Rays summer concert series, play a few jams and leave with teenage girls screaming throughout Tropicana Field.
But on Saturday night, Lavigne didn't want to be every girl's hero. She wanted to be every family's nightmare.
During the live show, Lavigne reportedly opened her first song of the night with technical difficulties, met with loud boos from the crowd.
That's when Lavigne's inner punk rock princess turned "rage mode" on the crowd, hurling four-letter expletives through the stadium.
Don't know exactly what the reaction was after that, but I'm pretty sure parents probably gasped in horror and children screamed because the Rays were forced to issue a statement on Sunday.
Read the statement, via Yahoo! Sports:
"The Rays demand profanity-free performances from all of our concert performers and we are extremely disappointed by the language used in last night's show. It is not consistent with the family-friendly atmosphere that Tropicana Field is known for."

My question is, since when is Avril Lavigne family-friendly?
Sure, I know she's popular with teenagers, but I've always thought someone with punk rock tendencies (even if they were a little poppy) would be a risk in a family-friendly setting.
I mean, one of her albums was called The Best Damn Thing and her lead single in her latest album was titled, "What the Hell."
Shocked parents were probably thinking the latter when all was said and done Saturday night.
