Colt McCoy is treating this season like it's a video game. Will Muschamp has put his stamp on this defense.

(previous: 1) 7-0. Another shootout? Yup. Colt McCoy is proving himself to be quite the gunslinger. Missouri gamely hung in there, but the smell of smoked Tiger at the end was undeniable. The ‘Horns handled the pressure of being on the top and “didn’t eat the cheese” (nice one, Coach Brown).

Undeniably the best team in the country, but they still have two more matchups against top 10 teams the coming two weeks.

Scott Glesner No.1
(Based on my OCGR standings) Another week, another ranked big 12 opponent to take down...

Ben Lee No.1
Wow. This is the toughest 4 game stretch i can remember any team having. Up next: 7-0 Oklahoma State.

I cannot fathom not having Texas at number 1 at this point. I thought all year Oklahoma was the best team in the country (even after Texas beat them), but after that absolute beatdown they gave Missouri I think Texas has to be viewed as the country's best. Even looking at the rough Big 12 I have a hard time seeing Texas not making the national title game. I think a 1 loss Texas team will play for the national title (so long as the one loss is not in the Big 12 Championship) and honestly I do not see them loosing. The two best teams in the country may have already met and likely will not meet again.

Kyle Goings No.1
With two huge wins in the last two weeks, they are playing the best football in the country. Arguably the best offense in the country right now, as well.

Kevin Thomas No.1
What can you say but WOW!! They beat Oklahoma two weeks ago and absolutely shellacked Missouri last week.

Bill Wilson No.1

Who can argue with defeating the number one and then anoter pretender. They will face the next two best teams in the Big Twelve in the next two weeks. McCoy moved up in the Heisman rankings as well.

I think they validated their No. 1 ranking...at least for this week.

Colin Flosi No.1
The only team to prove themselves in every single game, including against two top-tier team. Who knows, perhaps by the end of the season, Colt McCoy's completion percentage will be better than half of the Quarterback Ratings...

Keith Frazier No.1
This is a team that shows heart and promise. They don't care who you are, show up every week and don't sleep on these guys.

This is probably the best team out there. They completely demolished a very good Missouri team and have already beaten the team thought to be the best out there, Oklahoma.

Jonny Solovy No.1
Best wins so far and their offense is ridiculously talented. Their defense worries me a bit. A team like Texas Tech may have a shot vs the Longhorns.

Adam Lindemer No.1
The best team in the land right now.

Bob Gavlak No.1

Mark White No.1
Colt McCoy and a real deal defense has the Longhorns in a favorite position to return to the title game if they can get by Oklahoma a second time this season in the Big 12 Championship.

Ken Braun No.1

Texas is clearly the number one team in the nation right now after a win at Oklahoma followed by a victory over Mizzou.

Burgess Shaw No.1
Mizzou was looking to bounce back vs. Texas. The key word is was! Texas might just win a nat'l championship.

Matt Schaefer No.1
How can this team not be ranked number 1? They already have two wins against powerhouse teams (Oklahoma and Missouri). They still have a rough schedule left though, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Kansas. Depending against the team, one loss might even keep them in line for a BCS title.

Jason Perkins No.1

No doubt if they get through their schedule they are the clear number 1.

They were number one last week, and they soundly beat another top 25 team this week in Missouri. Therefore they don't lose they're number 1 spot. Also the fashion in which they win is more impressive than Alabama.
