If they keep winning they stay No.1. I can't move them down until they actually lose.

Jason Hackney No.1

Undefeated in the SEC

William Qualkinbush No.2
After a couple of close calls, let's see how this Bama team responds in a hostile Neyland Stadium without Terrence Cody to obliterate offensive lines.

(previous: 2) 7-0. Hey, ‘Bama, what’s with these 3-point and 4-point margins? Don’t the Fighting Sabans know that in today’s high pressure college football climate, style points are de rigeur? Honestly, though, in the FBS (I-A) world, where quality is decided in a beauty contest—and don’t deceive yourselves, dear readers, that’s what any poll is—Alabama is at risk of falling further behind the leader.

It's not pretty, but they are still winning

Glynn McGehee No.2

Mark Raines No.2
They have earned the number two spot. They have a very favorable schedule. I still do not buy them as the second best team, but I could easily see them winning the SEC west and having the opportunity to play for a national title.

Kevin Thomas No.2
Still have two big wins over then No.9 Clemson and then No.1 Georgia.

Bill Wilson No.2

Ben Lee No.2
I had them number 1 until this week. You can't ignore what Texas has done to Oklahoma and Missouri.

Peter R No.2
Who can argue with 'Bama, undefeated and a few quality wins?

They need to watch out on these teams coming back on them. It may come up and bite them.

Colin Flosi No.2
Jevan Snead almost broke another team's heart, but fell just short. Second half offensive ineptitude won't cut it, and Alabama is looking less and less elite every week. BUT, they have avoided the letdown games that Florida and USC put up, so they are in a much batter boat than those two, at least for the time being.

College Football Fanatic No.2
I'm wondering why this team is having so much trouble with teams like Kentucky and Ole Miss. Both teams are good, but Alabama should be able to beat both of these teams by at least 15-20, not 3 or 4.

Jonny Solovy No.2
They have at least one loss coming to them this season. They have not been convincing at all recently but they are undefeated still and that's what matters.

Burgess Shaw No.2
Wow, learn how to finish a game Saban.

Beat an tough Ole Miss team who already took down Florida this season. Despite second half woes, Bama is still getting things done.

They keep squeaking and they keep slipping.

Kyle Goings No.3
They're just kind of sliding along under the radar (if that's possible at No.2). Their last two games have not been very impressive, but you take wins any way you can get them in this game.

William Rayburn No.3

Steve Moreau No.3

Jeffrey McDaniel No.3
If they don't close out in the second half, they may get bitten by the upset bug.

Eric Lawhead No.3

Keith Frazier No.3
This team is crisp and physical. They have won the games they should and prevailed in the games that were questionable. Although they may have plenty of room for improvement, Everybody needs to be clicking if they are the team playing them.

Struggled against Ole' Miss, might be in for a fight vs. the Vols.

Alabama continues to win, but sooner or later they will need to show up for the second half.

Mark White No.4
The tides of football polling position dictate that this young and exciting team is laced in any current top 25. Because of their youth and depth questions, I doubt they will be in the top 10 come bowling time.

Jared Kimmel No.4

Scott Glesner No.7
I'm amazed that the OCGR has them as the third-ranked SEC team...has only played Georgia and a bunch of average teams...
