I think this is one year that playing LSU is not as tough as it usually is

As much as I hate to say this, Georgia is getting shafted in the poles. They only have one loss to a very good team yet are ranked behind USC in national rankings. Granted they have not been overly impressive, which is why they sholnt be ranked higher than 7th, but this is still a dangerous team.
Mark Raines No.7
I still have not been overly impressed by the Bulldogs yet this season, but they are surely a talented team and they just keep winning.
Peter R No.7
Losing to number 2 is not a bad thing unless you aim for number one. It certainly puts them ahead of every other one loss team that lost to a lower ranked team.

Nice win over solid Vandy team

UGA continues to take care of business in the SEC after a tough game against Bama, but now the heat is on over the next two games.

Still have a lot of talent.

Has there ever been a preseason number 1 talked about less? They're still in the national championship picture, and can win a big game at LSU.
Michael Shibley No.8
Another solid SEC team.
Eric Lawhead No.8
Keith Frazier No.8
I think the Bulldogs might lose one more before this season is out. they have a brutal schedule and the fire power to handle it. As it stands they are still legitimately in the hunt.
College Football Fanatic No.8
They struggled for a while against a good Vandy team, but they pulled it out in the end. Nice job by the Bulldogs.

(previous: 11) 6-1. The 'Dawgs are making sure that the Alabama game is well and truly out of their minds, and they seem on a mission to make it to the SEC championship game for a possible rematch. Vanderbilt are tougher opponents than they seem, and UGA did a good job to come away with the win. They leapfrog Texas Tech into the No. 9 spot. Now for the double crunch: next Saturday night, Georgia travels to "Death Valley" to face No. 12 LSU. Then, on Nov. 1, comes "The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party" in Jacksonville, at which a football game vs. the Florida Gators is rumored to be on the bill.

I think they will lose one more game this year because I just don't think they have the offensive and defensive lines to be in the top 10 for long.
Bob Gavlak No.9
Justin Dixon No.9
Georgia gets by Vandy but they will need to play better to get wins the next two weeks.
Burgess Shaw No.9
Good job on beating Vandy.
Dan Alexandre No.9
Mark White No.9
A favorite a the start of the season for a spot in the BCS Championship game, the weakness in their line play will prevent them from ultimately finishing in the Top 10.
Archie Adams No.10
At LSU and hosting Florida doesn't even seem fair for the Bulldogs right now.

Preseason No.1 still looking rough around the edges. Chance to prove they deserve back in the NC talk with a win @ LSU this week.
Colin Flosi No.10
Looking shaky, but Moreno has the ability to take over any game. Their season comes down to this week against LSU, lose and they are out of the picture, like Marty McFly.
