(previous: 4) 8-0. Until the Utes lose, they deserve to be here. Period. But after TCU's upset of previously No. 5 BYU, the Nov. 22 Utah-BYU game is no longer the Mountain West Conference decider. Instead, the new MWC "Game of the Season" is on Thursday, Nov. 6, as No. 4 Utah hosts No. 15 TCU. It’s conceivable that all three of these MWC teams could finish 11-1 (and all miss out on the BCS), which would be cruel justice of a sort.

They are now the best in the West (Mountain that is).

Nic Gulas No.10
Are in very good shape to crash the BCS party if the season contines has it has so far.

The first glimpse of a non-BCS team...better not look ahead at the BYU game and focus on that TCU squad

Best mid-major...for now.

College Football Fanatic No.10
It's a shame that BYU lost, because now the Holy War on Nov. 22 won't have as much hype. Still, this team could be in the top five when the game comes around if upsets keep on happening.

Strength of schedule is killing them.

Eric Lawhead No.11

This is a team week in and week out handeling the ball well, making few mistakes and really making a name for themselves. This team is going to have some challenging test in their upcoming schedule. the best thing that could happen for them is that those tests don't fall out of the race before The Utes get their shot.

Jonny Solovy No.11
They are up this far because they are undefeated and play hard all the time. I don't think they could beat any top 10 team now and until they step up and play a more difficult out of conference schedule, they don't deserve to be in the top 10.

Utah should play in a BCS game. Their 8-0, and they beat Oregon State. They should take care of BYU.

Utah continues to pile up wins against their opponents that have been weak up to this point.

I am probably ranking Utah too high, but they are probably the best team in a good Mountain West conference. Seems fair for now.

Archie Adams No.13
The Utes still have three tough games ahead of them, including this week at New Mexico. Don't be surprised by a close game.

Justin S. No.13

Mark White No.13
The Utes will be the BCS buster this year, but would have a tough time hanging with some of the big boys. QB Brian Johnon is he wheel they can least afford to lose.

They don't have a standout win all season. The poor man's Texas Tech schedule wise.

Undefeated, but not tested yet. TCU looks to change that.
