This is the highest I've seen a one-loss non-BCS team this early. This team could overtake the other non-BCS teams and sneak in to the BCS

Looked very good against BYU. Not just a defense anymore; they have some fast offensive weapons.

The best team in the MWC. Will beat Utah and knock them out of the picture.

The Horned Frogs really want to crash the BCS party.

As the win over BYU proves, being a BCS buster with a defense is rare, and good.

Michael Shibley No.14

Keith Frazier No.14
A hard nosed physical football team that is always in the mix, if they want to be more than that, they need to win out in a brutal unforgiving conference.

(previous: NR) 7-1. With their one loss to Oklahoma, the "Horny Toads" are not likely to get a BCS berth. What they *can* do, and *have* done, is play spoiler for the other teams in their conference. BYU came crashing down last week; TCU travels to Utah on Thursday, Nov. 6 in what should be an entertaining game with the Mountain West title on the line. What TCU brings to the table that distinguishes it this season is a *very* stingy defense. And with the exception of Oklahoma, the offense has been able to benefit from that defensive strength.

Had a huge win over BYU last week.

Destruction of BYU makes the Horned Frogs a popular item for the rest of the season.

They put themselves in the drivers seat for the Mountain West, and could even compete for a BCS bid if they knock off Utah in a couple weeks.

Trey Bradley No.16

Jonny Solovy No.16
They have a great defense and just demolished a solid BYU team. TCU couldn't beat any of the top 10 teams but if they keep winning they could get around number 11 or 12.

Bob Gavlak No.16

Justin Dixon No.16
The Horned Frogs put a beating on the formerly top 10 BYU team. Lets see if they can keep up the good play.

A take notice type victory over BYU this week. I have them right behind the Bearcats. Both had similar margins of loss at Oklahoma, but the Bearcats were more competative throughout the game. Ask Sooner fans who they would rather face on a neutral field.

Ken Braun No.17

Ryan Williams No.17
Huge blowout win over BYU on Thursday night puts them from unranked to 17th in my poll

Jason Hackney No.17
They only non-BCS team to actually face a tough opponent in a BCS conference (Oklahoma). They also man handled BYU. We'll see how they fair against Utah in two weeks however.

Justin S. No.18

Ben Lee No.18
Their defense is one of the best in the country. Holding BYU to 7 points is no small task.

Great win by the Horned Frogs on a Thursday night, which is quickly becoming the popular night for upsets.
