What a great week to be a sports fan.
Five of the world's Top 25 sporting events (as ranked by The Ultimate Sports List) will occur or begin over the next six days in four different countries.
Plenty of chances for fans to catch some of the world's greatest sporting events, from Vancouver, Canada to London, England to the Principality of Monaco.
Saturday, May 28: #22 UEFA Champions League Final: Two of the great clubs in European soccer-Manchester United and Barcelona-will clash in Wembley Stadium for supremacy in European club soccer.
Sunday, May 29: #10 The Indianapolis 500: The Greatest Spectacle in Racing, and one of the the Triple Crown of Motorsports, will be run at the Brickyard in front of over 300,000 fans, making it once again the highest attended single day sporting event in the world.
Sunday, May 29: #16 The Monaco Grand Prix: Another of the Triple Crown of Motorsports (along with the Indy 500 and 24 Hours of Le Mans), it will be run through the narrow, winding streets of Monaco as it has since 1929.
Tuesday, May 31: #25 The NBA Finals: The Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat are each making their second appearance in the finals. Ironically, each team's only other appearance was against the other, with the Heat prevailing over the Mavs in six games in 2006.
Adding to the irony, each team plays in an arena named for American Airlines.
Wednesday, Jun 1: #14 The Stanley Cup Finals: The sporting world's most famous trophy will be in play as the Stanley Cup Finals gets under way in Vancouver, with the Canucks opponent to be determined in tonight's Game 7 showdown between the Boston Bruins and the Tampa Bay Lightning.
