The Patriots' defense is old. Yup, that is the shorthand of people too lazy to look up anything. You know, ESPN "analysts" and the idiots who believe them.

Man, I hear that age comment so often it is starting to get to me.

Ty Warren- born Feb. 6, 1981
Vince Wilfork - born Nov. 4, 1981
Richard Seymour - born Oct. 6, 1979
Adalius Thomas - born July 18, 1977
Tedy Brushi - born June 9, 1973
Jerod Mayo - born Feb. 23, 1986
Mike Vrabel - born Aug. 14, 1975
Ellis Hobbs - born May 16, 1983
Deltha O'Neal - born Jan. 30, 1977
Rodney Harrison - born Dec. 15, 1972
James Sanders* - born Nov. 11, 1983

* Is Sanders the other starter?

OK, you got Harrison and Bruschi being old**. One can argue Vrabel, O'Neal, and Thomas. Six of 11 players are under 30.

One can call them slow, stupid, lousy, etc. Old, well, pity the facts don't fit the prefabbed story.

** Younger than me, but football old.
