Chris Wood: An Update

Bleacher ReportCorrespondent IOctober 21, 2008

Due to questions on my last report I thought I should update you on how he is doing and will hopefully clear anything up.

English golfer Chris Wood has recently stated that he has the ambition to win his European Tour card for the 2009 season at next month’s Tour School in Spain.

He topped the leaderboard at the first phase of the Tour Qualifying School when he shot a 17-under-par total of 271 at The Oxfordshire in September.  The second stage is in Jerez from the 5th to the 8th of November.  The final stage is in the following week, when there will be 30 cards on offer over six days at the PGA Golf de Catalunya from the 13th to the 18th of November.

It has also been reported that veteran golfer Darren Clarke and up and coming golfer Rory McIlroy have been guiding Woods on his way to a hopefully regular place on the European Tour.

I will be happy to answer and questions you have.  Thanks.
