New Mexico Scorpions Win Eight in a Row

The New Mexico Scorpions of the Central Hockey League have won their eighth game in a row, defeating the Wichita Thunder 3-2.

The two teams played to a tie in regulation, but New Mexico's Aaron McInnis scored at 3:10 into the overtime period, to mark up win number eight for the Scorpions.

Konrad Reeder had an assist on all three Scorpion goals.

New Mexico's Andrew Martin stopped 35 of 37 shots on goal.

The Scorpions have played 36 games. They have 20 wins, 12 losses, and four overtime losses. They are one point out of second place.

The Scorpions sent three players to the CHL All-Star Game in Colorado: Andrew Martin, Konrad Reeder, and Vladimir Hartinger.
