LeBron James: King James and Rapper Drake Have a Budding Bromance Going?
LeBron James and Rapper Drake the Best of Friends?
Forget about LeBron James and Dwyane Wade's friendship, apparently Bron Bron and rapper Drake have this mutual admiration for one another that dates back a while. In fact, they like each other so much that it's borderline bromantic.
Drake, the child star-turned-hashtag-rapper who would have you believe that his last name is Ever and his first name is Greatest, has been sitting courtside at a lot of Miami Heat games this postseason. This is partly because he is rich and lives in Miami, and thus needs to be photographed doing rich-guy things in Miami, but it is also because Drake and LeBron James have one of those special because-we're-really-rich friendship bonds. They are, according to James, like "a real family." Which tells us a lot about LeBron James.
According to Deadspin, LeBron has been a fan of Drake "long before" his first studio album and even has a Drake character in an episode of his animated show "The LeBrons."
As for Drake, he supposedly recently wrote LeBron a gameday text that said: "Tonight is your night." And apparently, the song "Forever" was written with James in mind.
Aw, how romantic.
Whatever the case, this friendship or whatever you call it is working for LeBron and he's more pumped up than ever to get back to the NBA Finals.
Then after that, I wonder if Drake will write another song about him.
