Kyle Busch: NASCAR Driver Cited for Driving 128 MPH in a 45 MPH Zone
Kyle Busch Gets Ticket for Careless and Reckless Driving and Speeding
In Kyle Busch's line of work, driving fast is a must. Unfortunately he couldn't make the distinction between work and real life as he was pulled over for speeding on Tuesday afternoon in North Carolina, according to the Statesville Record & Landmark.
The Record & Landmark reports:
Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Chris Stone, a member of the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) team, stopped a yellow Lexus sports car after he clocked it doing 128 mph in a 45 mph zone on Perth Road near Judas Road, between Troutman and Mooresville.
You read that correctly, Busch was driving 83 mph faster than the posted speed limit. Although, driving at that speed was an arrestable offense police officers elected to simply cite the NASCAR driver.
Busch will likely make a mandatory court date and be subjected to a hefty fine.
That said, there's no excuse for him to be driving that fast on the streets. It shouldn't matter who he is and what kind of experience he has driving at those speeds, he put the safety of others on the line by driving recklessly.
Busch should know better than to get himself into this kind of situation.
