Maria Sharapova: Sharapova Shines in Stunning Yellow Dress at 2011 French Open
Maria Sharapova Advances to Second Round of 2011 French Open
It seems as though that Maria Sharapova, the No. 7 seed in the French Open, is finally regaining that world-class form that once made her the top women's player in the world.
Sharapova has not won a Grand Slam title since 2008 when she won the Australian Open but the 24-year-old appears to be healthy and on her way to making some noise in this tournament.
Not only did she make it look easy in her opening round straight-set win against Croatian Mirjana Lucic 6-3, 6-0. But she also showed great style.
On a sunny day in Paris, the Russian beauty wore a bright yellow tennis dress that was both form flattering and less risque than what any of the Williams sisters would be wearing for this clay court event.
In fact, the dress was reportedly inspired by the Eiffel Tower. Which is definitely a nice touch!
Sharapova is only lacking a French Open victory to complete a career Grand Slam and this may finally be the year she does it.
It's days like this and outfits like that make us point out that her soon-to be husband NBA player Sasha Vujacic is a very lucky man.
