WWE Over the Limit 2011 is officially in the books, and while it wasn't the most exciting event that you will ever see, there was one great match (Christian and Randy Orton) and nothing that was hideously awful.
The John Cena vs. Miz match was unique because it was basically just 20 minutes of Miz and Alex Riley beating on Cena. Then a fake John Cena "I Quit" played throughout the arena, but the ref figured that out and ordered the match to restart. Cena took out Riley and Miz to retain the title.
In other wrestling news, the world is still mourning the loss of Randy "Macho Man" Savage, one of the greatest superstars of all time. It's crazy to think that he hasn't wrestled in a major promotion since 2004 with TNA. But when you go back and watch some of his old tapes from the '80s you realize that his style was so good and so ahead of its time that he would still be a great worker by today's standards.
WWE has gone back and forth since Friday about whether they were going to create a television package for Savage to use on Raw and SmackDown this week. If they care at all about the history of the company, and this man who helped make it such a success, they had better get something good out there.
We will have the latest news, notes and information from the WWE Over the Limit show and everything that you need to get prepared for Raw tonight.
