Randy Savage: Macho Man To Be Cremated and Spread Among Remains of Family Dog
Randy Savage's Funeral Arrangements Have Been Made
With the wrestling world, and the entertainment world for that matter, still reeling from the news of Randy "Macho Man" Savage's tragic death, final arrangements have been made for the former WWF and WCW champion.
Larry Poffo, Savage's brother, told TMZ.com that his brother will be cremated and have his ashes spread around his favorite tree. The tree is also the final resting place for Savage's beloved dog Hercules, who died many years ago.
Also, there will not be a public funeral because Savage always said that he never wanted one, and the family is going to honor his wishes. The service will be limited to family only.
There is still no official word what, if anything, will be done for Macho Man on WWE television, but there have been rumors going around all weekend about some tribute on Raw. Vince McMahon has even talked about possibly saying a few words, which would be interesting because those two had quite the falling out when Savage left WWF in 1994.
Meanwhile, the outpouring of love and support from fans and colleagues continues to come flooding in. Everyone on Twitter and Facebook has been giving their own tribute. At WWE's Over the Limit pay-per-view last night, CM Punk offered his own unique tribute to Macho Man by doing an elbow drop off the top rope.
