French Open Schedule: When to Watch Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic in the Semis
With the completion of singles play on Wednesday, the semifinals are set for the 2011 French Open.
On the men’s side of things, Rafael Nadal straight-setted Robin Soderling 6-4, 6-1, 7-6 to advance to the semis, where he’ll face Andy Murray, who spanked Juan Ignacio Chela on Wednesday 7-6, 7-5, 6-2.
In the other semi, which was decided on Tuesday, will pit No. 2 Novak Djokovic—he of the 43-match winning streak—against No. 3 legendary Swiss master Roger Federer.
If you’re wondering—like I was—the men’s semifinal matches are scheduled to be played on Friday starting at 11 a.m. Paris time on Court Philippe-Chatrier.
The women’s semis will see Maria Sharapova aim for her first French Open title (and a career Grand Slam) against Na Li of China and defending French Open champ Francesca Schiavone square off against young Frenchwoman Marion Bartoli.
These women’s semis will be played on Thursday at Roland Garros, starting, again, at 11 a.m. local time.
