The 2011 NBA draft is just over a month away, and every team in the league is looking for the prospects it needs to get over the championship hump.
With the lottery having delivered a pair of top-four picks to the Cleveland Cavaliers, even one of the league’s most downtrodden franchises has reason for hope in the future.
The draft class is headlined by the inside-outside duo of Kyrie Irving and Derrick Williams. Duke PG Irving is rumored to be the Cavs’ top choice with their No. 1 overall pick, while Arizona PF Williams has a good chance to be the No. 2 selection for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
As usual, the lottery will be heavy on big men with international stars like Enes Kanter and Jonas Valanciunas likely to be among the leading prospects. Don’t count out college standouts like Texas’ Tristan Thompson or Kansas’ Morris twins, either.
Read on for one way the first round could shake out on June 23rd.
