NBA Mock Draft 2011: All 30 Picks, Jordan Hamilton to Bobcats at No. 19
2011 NBA Mock Draft Serves Up High-Scoring Wing For Charlotte Bobcats
Tristan Thompson is already on board to bolster the frontcourt, so the Bobcats turn their attention to the wings. They find a great complement to defensive standout Gerald Henderson in Texas swingman Jordan Hamilton.
Hamilton is an aggressive scorer who can hurt opponents with his jump shot or off the dribble drive. He’s an athletic 6’7”, with the quickness and leaping ability to develop into a fine defender.
Hamilton is still a little raw in most areas of his game, and his decision-making needs work. On a Bobcats team searching for a definitive leader, he’ll have to avoid trying to do too much.
With Hamilton, Henderson and Stephen Jackson, Charlotte will have a lot of length on the perimeter, though whether that will translate into improved team defense remains to be seen. At the least, Hamilton should provide point guard D.J. Augustin with another worthwhile target.
