Bernard Hopkins vs. Jean Pascal: Predictions Through Rounds 3 and 4
In my previous predictions breaking down how I see the first two rounds of the Bernard Hopkins vs. Jean Pascal rematch, I gave Hopkins a 20-18 lead on the scorecards. However, I see that changing drastically throughout the night.
In round 3 I see Bernard Hopkins finally starting to slow down a bit and save his energy for the later rounds. I also think this is the round when Jean Pascal finds his rhythm and slowly begins to take over the fight.
Jean Pascal begins to let his hands flow a little more often and his countering is starting to be effective every time Hopkins throws a punch of his own. Round 3 goes to Pascal.
In round 4 things are pretty much the same as before. Pascal has taken complete control of the pace and is dictating everything Hopkins does. Pascal lands a beautiful one-two which knocks B-Hop off-balance and gets the crowd roaring.
B-Hop tries to flurry but Pascal ties him up and starts working off the jab for the remainder of the round.
Through four rounds I have the fight even, 38-38.
