Not like Sasha Vujacic being out of the lineup is devastating for the Lakers, but it will affect "The Machine" to start the season.
When Sasha tweaked his ankle originally, it was considered a sprain by the Lakers docs, but then it was determined that his ankle was actually broken before he had rolled it earlier in this month.
Last season was a career year for Sasha, finally making him a legitimate threat coming off the bench for Lakers. The problem Sasha has always had in his short career with the Lakers is his tendency to be very streaky when confidence is lacking.
With this injury to his ankle, it might take him awhile to get his shot back and his confidence back to the level that he was playing with last season. Initially Vujacic was supposed to be back in action for the preseason, but now he may not make it back to start the regular season.
Hopefully, this won't affect him all that much, but any athlete or sports fan knows, injuries involving your ankle can affect the rest of your career. Just ask Grant Hill.
